Wordsmith Scores "Death & Honor" Track for Platinum
Wordsmith Scores "Death & Honor" Track for Platinum
Attention Video Game Enthusiasts!
Nu Revolution Entertainment is continually searching for ways to give new exposure to our founder and franchise artist Wordsmith. As part of our global marketing plan this dedicated push began back in 2008 with a promotional contract signed with Joint One Radio of Japan. This partnership made Joint One the greatest promoter of Wordsmith in the Far East and was not long in bringing opportunities for exposure in many markets, the newest of which being the realm of Video Games.
Often considered the medium of the future, video gaming is an industry on the cutting edge of technology much like the cinema of the mid twentieth century. Artists and musicians now view the gaming industry as a suitable platform to showcase their craft, and thanks to Joint One, independent grind sensation Wordsmith has joined the party on one of the most hotly anticipated games of 2009, MadWorld.
Developed by PlatinumGames and published by Sega, MadWorld is eagerly awaited as the new hope for mature gaming on the Nintendo Wii console. This stylized video game pushes cartoon violence to the extreme, however developers intend the game to be seen in a comical light what with the over-the-top absurdities of the game-play. The player controls Jack, a mechanic with a chainsaw on his arm, as he competes in a royal rumble style game show called Death Watch. Players can look forward to fun, creative and violent ways to dispatch hordes of evil contenders as you work towards the 100 million dollar grand prize.
MadWorld makes great stylistic leaps both with striking visuals and a diverse audio soundtrack. The color scheme involves only three colors, a stark black and white canvas made bright red with the blood spillage of your enemies. In fitting with the style and vision the game was given an upbeat Rap soundtrack to entertain and engage the player throughout the contest. Nu Revolution artist Wordsmith is an unsigned artist fortunate enough to be involved with the project.
Wordsmith wrote the song "Death & Honor" to be used as music for one of many boss battles throughout the game. Word had this to say about the opportunity: "It was an honor to score some music for the Nintendo Wii's first true action game MadWorld as I was a video game junkie growing up. Due to my music, I only find myself playing video games with my kids, but I look at this like I'm coming full circle. I have to give a big thanks to my Japan Marketing Reps Joint One Radio. I just signed a two year extension with them… so I look forward to more projects like this and a lasting imprint in the Japan Market."
MadWorld was released on March 10th in the US and April 10th Overseas for Nintendo Wii consoles.

Saint Anger's Killa Beast Dropping 04/29 on ForeverDC.com
THERE'S NO MORE BEAST'S AFTER THIS
"If the Champagne Room album was the funeral of his hatazz, then The Killa Beast EP is the wake!"
- E.R./Exec. Producer
"The Killa Beast EP is some of New Zealand Producer Cubz best work yet. Saint & cpbeats.com make a great team!"
- Jason Easley/Foreverdc.com
Saint Anger wrote most of the Killa Beast EP while visiting family in North Carolina. Returning to North Carolina weekend after weekend brought back raw, strong and sad
memories that Saint experienced while living their in 2001-2003.
The energy of his NC visits served as Saint's template for harder street tracks that he intentionally did not do in bulk on the Champagne Room and also the chance to experiment with different styles of music and flow. Killa Beast is no doubt a project that fans will experience, relate to and appreciate.
This great body of work will feature 10 tracks of Saints signature story telling, word play and snatching hooks. EP includes the RnB stylings of Saints long time friend and MadeMen artist, Syn. Look for the Bizzle Boy Affiliates track "Fallin Out The Drop" that features all of the MADEMEN crew: Young Cratic, J D'wayne, Prinze Naseem, and Syn as well as Virginia's leader of the new school Domoh.

MYSELF - Protest In Disguise CD

MYSELF - Protest In Disguise CD
Couture Music Wear / Sumthing Distribution
Alt Rock and indie hip hop artist, MYSELF was spotted by EMG President Kevin Connal when the New Orleans native rocker and his band played at New York's famous BB King's Blues Club in Times Square on July 16, 2007. The pair met after the live set, and it was only a matter of hours before the two were on the phone making deals. MYSELF, a riveting live entertainer, thoughtful songwriter, and a perfectionist in the recording studio, was said by Connal to be "a consummate professional who knows few musical boundaries and is fearless enough to take his style/sound in a vast array of directions. Ten minutes into his set I wanted him on our roster." MYSELF defies genres while re-defining originality. His musical stylings have been described as COUTURE (tailor made to fit every one). His sonic moshpit encompasses raw-like-sushi punk, organic hip hop, gumbo funk, hot buttered soul & future classic alternative rock! MYSELF's music speaks for itself, communicating a language that stretches from the muddy Mississippi river to the historical temples of Japan. The rebel rocker has worked with multiple platinum and Grammy winners such as Arrested Development, The Roots, Public Enemy, blues maestro Chris Thomas King, and countless other industry veterans. He has been featured on MTV JAMS, FOX TV, MTV Japan, CW Network, and in magazines such as Billboard, Living Blues, and Whoofin. MYSELF is also appearing in the upcoming documentary "Pocket Change" featuring Academy Award Winner Oliver Stone. In addition, producer and multi-platinum music icon Nile Rodgers, who produced hits for Madonna, Sting and Duran Duran, recently signed MYSELF to Sumthing Distribution.
MYSELF's self-financed, ambitious & groundbreaking debut album Protest In Disguise is being released on his own boutique label and fashion house Couture Music Wear, Inc. The album was recorded at the legendary Chung King Studios (formerly Chunk King House of Metal), which has been the home for many Def Jam classic recordings (Rick Rubin, Run DMC, Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, LL Cool J). MYSELF can now be added to this A-list of album projects. Protest In Disguise contains fourteen turbo supercharged high octane tracks. The lead single "God is so Funky" is a soulful melodic/hypnotic catchy song that truly rocks the dancefloor! "Where We Going?" is a blues entrenched worldbeat jam that incorporates the essentials of a modern day Bob Dylan/Bob Marley cry for change. "Baby..You Drive Me Crazy" picks up where the party let's off; it's a fast & furious punk hip hop adrenaline anthem that delves into the hardships of relationships. Protest in Disguise showcases musical dexterity and lyrical complexity, evoking MYSELF's strength as a tremendous songwriter, producer and lyricist. The songs on Protest In Disguise burn slowly and ignite intensely, encouraging the listener to "Keep The Fire Burnin'."

Grand Opening of Club WH- Candlelight vigil in honor of Baird Jones
Candlelight vigil in honor of late NYC Night Life Guru and Webster Hall legend Baird Jones
The Grand Opening of Club WH and Circus and multi million dollar renovation of former Webster Hall!
Americas First Nightclub!!!
New York City
Nightlife entrepreneur and owner John JE Englebert (Quo, Myst, Retox, Prime, Prepost and Suzie Wong venues) will join over 3,000 people on 4 floors as they open the doors of New York Citys newest nightclub and multimillion dollar renovation of Club WH, formerly Webster Hall on this Saturday April 4th 2009. The club will be called Circus on Saturdays.
A candlelight vigil will be organized by Englebert and other nightclub and industry professionals this Saturday night in honor of the late Baird Jones who served as the curator for Webster Hall for decades and was a legend in clubs in the Big Apple since Studio 54. He was a major player in the press and media in New York City for years. A life-size photo of Jones will be placed in the DJ booth for generations.
Built in 1886, Webster Hall was the first nightclub in America. For over 120 years, this majestic landmark building has housed New York Citys wildest events, as party-goers have stamped out their inhibitions and expressed their greatest desires within its hallowed halls.
And now they are at it again. In 2009, Webster Hall completed a multi-million dollar renovation. While restoring and rejuvenating the classical theater architecture, they have added posh amenities and cutting edge technology to, once again, create an air of ageless celebration and adventure.
As the last remaining venue of New York Citys legendary Big Club Era of the 80s and 90s, the new Webster Hall is destined to introduce a whole new generation of party revelers to nightlife that is beyond their imagination! Englebert AKA JE will be on hosting duties as he has worked numerous clubs in the 90s including the infamous Tunnel and Twilo nightclubs and found very fit to show his skills and remember Mr Jones in a special way.
CIRCUS will bring back the Shows. It will bring back the feeling. It will bring back the magic. It will inspire you to remember the first time you set foot in a club and fell in love with the night..
